Like the iPad, the Samsung Galaxy Android tablet is not exactly a netbook. However, it is a highly portable internetting device, therefore we feel that it warrants a mention!
So far, Samsung is the first company to step up and offer an answer to Apple's wildly successful (and expensive) iPad. Some of you might say, "Hey, wait just a gosh darn minute. There are other Android tablets out there!" This is true, however, can they compete with the iPad? Mmhmm that's what we thought. The Galaxy, however, actually creates a bit of competition. So, what exactly does the Galaxy have on the iPad?
For starters, it is smaller and lighter. Although processing speeds between the two devices are the same, the Galaxy offers double the RAM. Another key difference is that while both products offer different models with different respective storage, the Galaxy can facilitate up to 32GB of expandable storage, whereas with the iPad you are limited by the internal space. For those of you that like to video chat, the Samsung Galaxy has you covered with a 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera. There is also a 3.2-megapixel camera on the rear. The Apple iPad, of course, features no camera whatsoever.
The one thing the iPad seems to have on the Galaxy is that the iPad claims a 10 hour battery life, whereas the Galaxy will only get you 7. The Galaxy will also likely not win you as much admiration at your local coffee shop. Please take all of this information into careful consideration, and check out the deals on Galaxy tablets below!
